| Things To Do |
The mid South Canterbury region is the gateway to the south. In summer you can fish, ride in a hot air balloon, day trips to Mt Cook, Pleasant Point railway, skiing and snowboarding in winter. Timaru has Caroline Bay with a carnival held every year between mid Dec and mid Jan very popular with families. There is also the beautiful Griffiths Rose Gardens and lovely walks around the bay. |
