Apollo Bay is surrounded by The Great Otway National Park, in the middle of The Great Ocean Road, on your way to The Twelve Apostles, the beginning of The Great Ocean Walk (97kms), the Otways are a bushwalking paradise.

Apollo Bay Eco YHA has T-Qual Certification, which reflects excellence and identifies quality tourism businesses and operators in Australia.

The hostel has also achieved an 'Eco Tourism Australia Certificate' for Nature Tourism, awarded for tourist operators in a natural area that leave minimal impact on the environment.
