Located in Sassafras just 45 minutes drive from Melbourne City in the Dandenong Ranges. Your experience starts as you wind through the mountain enjoying the lush green forest canopy. As you arrive at your retreat you feel like you are in a different world from the hustle & bustle of life. Louise Martin is the proprietor of Wharparilla and shares her home with Fab. Wharparilla is also the family home of Beau and Jesse Martin (Jesse being the Youngest Person to Sail Solo Non-Stop around the World) Jesse & Beau now have a charter business in Papua New Guinea. THE GARDEN SUITE is our most private and secluded suite. As you walk through the fern garden your hideaway is awaiting you with a private courtyard and an outdoor sitting area ideal for reading and/or relaxing. This suite consists of 2 rooms - the first with dining area looking out to fern gardens, lounge area, radio/cd player and 2 person corner spa. The second is your queen size bedroom from which you can relax and watch TV or bring your own favourite DVDs. The recently renovated ensuite is off the bedroom. Decorated in a contemporary/antique flavour this suite is a relaxing and quiet place to recharge life's batteries. The romantic setting of welcoming music softly playing on your arrival then the flickering candle light from the candelabra, with your favourite champagne in glass enjoying the comfort and relaxation in the corner spa is an experience you will treasure. THE BLUE SUITE is beautifully appointed with large picture windows overlooking a tranquil fern garden. This suite has a balance of contemporary/ antique/memorabilia. It contains 2 bedrooms - 1 queen size the other with 2 singles, lounge, dining and separate bathroom. For those who crave romance - a candlelit corner spa is awaiting complete with bubbles. Then dim the chandeliers, light the 13 candle candelabra and relax in front of a gas log fire while sipping your favourite champagne. Soak up the ambience of this suite by relaxing on the large lounge while reading, watching TV, listening to one of the huge range of CD's provided or bring your own DVD/Videos. This suite is ideal for either 2 or 4 adults. BREAKFAST in both the Garden Suite and the Blue Suite is at your leisure when you are ready - with provisions of a choice of cereals, milk, yoghurt, fruit, juice, breads, spreads, plunger coffee and tea/instant coffee. WHARPARILLA can organize a RELAXING MASSAGE in your room but please phone Louise to arrange this prior to check in. WHARPARILLA also offers a HARLEY RIDE by FAB through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges - so that you can feel the mountains on a Harley. Discount prices apply to WHARPARILLA Guests. Prior booking is required. WHARPARILLA can also book you a game of tennis at a casual rate of $10 per hour just a 2 minute walk from your suite. |

Blue Suite
The Blue Spa Suite consists of 2 bedrooms - one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 single beds. Includes private bathroom facilities, real flame gas open fire. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $70.00. Extra children $70.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

Melways Ref: 66D12 Catch a train to Belgrave Station and then a 10 minute taxi from there. Belgrave trains leave Melbourne hourly and travelling time is approx 50 minutes. Driving by car - approx 45 minutes from City. |
