Getting There Road: Follow the signs for M602 and join Motorway. Go to the end of the Motorway where there is a roundabout. Turn left into Albion Way (past a Toyota Garage). Go to the end of the road and at the T-junction turn right (This is the A6).

Continue down this road for about 1 mile. On the left you will see a pub called "The Old Pint Pot". Turn left into this road and continue to the end. At the T-junction turn right into Blackfriars Road. The Hotel is situated on the right-hand side, about 400m further along the road. Turn right into the Hotel car park, just before the traffic lights.

Air: If you travel to Manchester by air then the Stay Inn Hotel is just a 20 minute journey from the Airport. You can phone a taxi to take you from the airport to the hotel.

Train: Manchesters train stations, Picadilly and Victoria, are located a few minutes away from the hotel. You can call a taxi to bring you to the hotel.

Things To Do Manchester City centre, a short bus ride away, has a fantastic choice of shops – selling everything from high street basics to designer fashions. At Salford Quays, the Lowry Outlet Mall is home to more than 80 cut-price designer stores, bars, restaurants and cinema.

At the Trafford Centre, you can shop until 10pm, eat out at one of the 40 cafés and restaurants, or see a film at the 30-screen cinema.

The Manchester Craft & Design Centre , in the city’s Northern Quarter is a unique collection of retail and studio spaces, café, and a programme of exhibitions from leading national and international designers.

Chinatown, in Manchester city centre, is home to a vibrant community. There are many large Chinese supermarkets and restaurants – and it’s only 15 minutes from Salford. Manchester’s famous Curry Mile boasts the largest concentration of Asian food outlets in the UK. There are dozens of restaurants, takeaways and shops selling fresh produce and Halal meat. Moss Side is home to the many flavours of the Caribbean, with the emphasis on takeaway food. The Northern Quarter, in Manchester, is an up-and-coming “alternative” area for eating, drinking and socialising. Several new bars and restaurants, including the award-winning Love Saves The Day, mix in with the older, more traditional cafés.

The Quays’ waterfront is the setting for Salford’s most striking new buildings - The Lowry and the award-winning Imperial War Museum North. As well as a range of galleries, The Lowry is home to two theatres, the 1,730-seat Lyric Theatre and the adaptable Quays theatre, seating up to 466.

Within a stone’s throw of the Quays, you’ll find Ordsall Hall Museum - a historic manor house reputed to be England’s most haunted! Other museums and galleries within easy reach of the University include Urbis, Manchester Jewish Museum, Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester Museum, Pumphouse People's History Museum, Greater Manchester Police Museum, Manchester Art Gallery, Godlee Observatory, Manchester Cathedral, Salford Cathedral, Museum of Transport in Manchester and Manchester Town Hall.
