From September 09, 2009 - We are officially a 100% SMOKE FREE Hotel! The Lugano Dante is located in a marvelous pedestrian area in the historical and business heart of the city, just one minute by funicular from the railway station and 200 meters from the lake and only 5 minutes on foot from the Palazzo dei Congressi. The late-1800 building has been recently restored to its original splendor. All the rooms are refined and elegant rooms, provide all first-class comforts: individually adjustable air conditioning, wireless connection, an interactive computer steered cable TV system, radio, minibar, voice-mail and phone with direct dialing-in, PC and fax sockets, radio and telephone also in the bathroom. All rooms are very quiet and soundproof with fire proof materials and under control of a fire-alarm system. Have a drink or just relax at the cozy and intimate Lugano Dante bar. For those who like to keep in shape, only a few metres from the hotel is a gym that can satisfy all needs: a fitness centre, sauna, solarium, Turkish bath … and also a number of jogging routes. And in the summer, free entrance to the beautiful Lido di Lugano with its beach and extensive park, 1 Olympic-size swimming pool, 1 medium-sized heated swimming pool, 2 small, protected pools for young children and a host of games. |

If you arrive by car: On the A2 motorway, use the Lugano Nord exit and follow the signs for the train station; after the train station, after the roundabout proceed on Via Maraini. After 600 m turn left into via Motta (which is recognisible from the covered parking signpost). Drive to the end of the street and arrive at Piazza Cioccaro. Arriving from the South Exit the A2 motorway at Lugano Sud and at the first light turn left into via Calloni. Continue straight past the next two lights and after ca. 100 m turn right into via Motta (which is recognisible from the covered parking signpost). Drive to the end of the street and arrive at Piazza Cioccaro. Welcome! If you arrive by train Quick and easy: just get off the train and get right on the funicular, which brings you to our hotel in just one minute! If you arrive by airplane If you plane lands at Milano-Malpensa international airport or at Lugano regional airport, it is extremely easy to reach us by using a comfortable shuttle-bus service. |

The Hotel Lugano Dante offers a particular service for our guests' cars: a modern, fully automatized underground parking system with 53 car spaces. In only three minutes your car will be parked or at your disposal. The parking area is not accessible to third parties and is constantly under video-surveillance: we offer the maximum comfort and safety for your vehicle. We have reserved 7 indoor parking spaces for cars with a maximum height of 2 m and a maximum weight of 2 tons. If your car exceeds these requisites, please inform us at the time of booking. Furthermore, on request, we can have your windshields or the whole car cleaned by professionals. |
