Built and established in 1885 as a coaching inn on the Cobb & Co. route, The Carrington Inn was destined for a diverse and colourful life. Bungendore legend has it, that on the day the original inn closed its doors to the trade, only three beers at tuppance each were sold.

The Carrington Inn was later to become a general store, a bordello and a private residence before being beautifully restored to its original design, true to the character and style of its Victorian origins.

Once more The Carrington Inn doors are open to the gentle bustle of a country life, and a significant piece of Australia's history has been rescured and lovingly restored for all to enjoy.
