Tranquilles four-and-a-half star Luxury Spa B&B and Deluxe Guest House offers a unique blend of elegance, indulgence, pampering and relaxation. Our property offers three beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms (two with double spas), an art gallery and lounge area with log fire plus an inviting conservatory overlooking the walled courtyard, all this set amongst more than two acres of sweeping romantic gardens. Port Sorell in north-west Tasmania is within an easy 15 minute drive of Devonport, the Spirit of Tasmania terminal or the Devonport airport, and just over an hour from Launceston. This area is renowned for its golden beaches, many and varied walking tracks, magnificent views, a range of water sports and easy access to the flora and fauna inhabiting the Narawntapu National Park. Tranquilles is in a perfect location to unpack once, then explore the many highlights of Tasmania’s lovely north and north-west regions, such as Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Tamar Wine Route, etc. We welcome corporate guests, offering business travellers an opportunity to feel “at home” whilst still receiving professional business support services including wireless broadband. Travelling From Devonport airport: When you reach a T intersection at the Airport entrance, turn right. You will approach a large roundabout in about 1 km. Turn left onto Port Sorell Road. Follow this road as it meanders past some beautiful farmland. You will pass through Wesley Vale. Continue on the main road. When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go. You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right. Tranquilles is on the corner of Gumbowie Drive and the Port Sorell Road. Travelling From Spirit of Tasmania Once you have cleared the dock area travel due east away from the river until you reach Tarelton Street. Turn left into Tarelton Street. Continue over the hill. Turn right into Brooke Street. Continue along Brooke Street until you reach a large roundabout. Continue straight ahead through the roundabout onto Port Sorell Road. Follow this road as it meanders past some beautiful farmland. You will pass through Wesley Vale. Continue on the main road. When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go. You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right. Tranquilles is on the corner of Gumbowie Drive and the Port Sorell Road. Travelling From Launceston airport When you reach a T intersection at the Airport entrance, turn right. You will drive along the main road to Launceston. When you reach a large roundabout, continue on the Midland Highway towards Launceston. After about 7 km, you will see an exit onto the Bass Highway with signs to Devonport and Burnie. Veer left onto the Bass Highway. Continue along the Bass Highway for some 87 km until you approach Latrobe. When you reach the large roundabout at Latrobe, veer right into Moriarty Road Continue along Moriarty Road for about 3 km until you reach an intersection to the left to Wesley Vale. Take this turn left (it is a tight turn). Follow this road to Wesley Vale. As you approach Wesley Vale, you will come to a T intersection. Turn right and follow the sign to Port Sorell. When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go. You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right. Tranquilles is on the corner of Gumbowie Drive and the Port Sorell Road. |

| Things To Do |
A sweep of golden beach; sheltered inlets; a seaside holiday haven . . .that's the welcome that awaits you at Port Sorell the "Port of Golden Beaches" and Gateway to the Narawntapu National Park. When in Tasmania you must experience the mild and sunny northern coast. Port Sorell with neighbouring Shearwater, Hawley Beach and Squeaking Point is definitely to best part of Tasmania in which to experience golden beaches and is a boating Mecca. Explore foreshore and urban reserves, cycle, enjoy a round of golf or a game of tennis; wander kilometres of readily accessible foreshore tracks, or simply laze in the sun. Nearby Narawntapu National Park is best known for its abundance of the wildlife of Tasmania, including Forester kangaroos. Wildlife can also be viewed in bushland reserves at Port Sorell and Hawley Beach, and in the Port Sorell Conservation Area. Port Sorell has for many years been a popular tourist resort for locals, but has been a best kept secret from visitors. Protected by hills and with the Bass Strait to the north, the district enjoys a particularly mild climate with low rainfall and a high average of sunshine. It has been reported that the climate at Port Sorell, Tasmania bears a striking resemblance to that experienced in the French Riviera. A short walk from the town is a jetty which is a popular place for rod and line fishing. Boat ramps are available, as well as a golf course and lawn bowls club. Port Sorell is an ideal gateway to enable you to undertake a number of day tours in the North and North-West of Tasmania.
