The fantastic Coogee Sands Hotel and Apartments is a unique combination of hotel studios and one bedroom apartments, fully serviced and fully self-contained. Possibly Sydney's closest hotel to the beach, there are no roads to cross and only a short 20 metres walk to get onto the sand and dip your toes in the ocean. We offer a stylish alternative for holiday makers and busy executives looking for large comfortable hotel rooms with kitchenettes, or spacious apartments with full kitchens and laundry/washing facilities. Coogee Sands Hotel and Apartments is superbly located, being halfway (8kms) between Sydney's airport and the CBD. We are just 12-15 minutes from the Sydney CBD, and closer still to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, The University of NSW, Randwick Racecourse, Fox Studios' entertainment precinct, the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney Football Stadium, Bondi Beach and Sydney's Children Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital. Some Studios feature courtyards or balconies, with some boasting spectacular views of Coogee Beach. All studios and four of our one bedroom apartments feature kitchenettes with microwave ovens, small refrigerators, tea and coffee making facilities; while two of the one bedroom apartments have ocean views and fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning, modem/fax connections and STD/IDD direct dial telephones, clock radios, remote colour television, in-house movie channels, ironing facilities. Some apartments also feature washing machines and dryers. The rooftop offers a barbecue area, a sun deck and beautiful views of the beach and the surrounding district. It is also the perfect setting for small weddings and company functions. Dining at Coogee Sands features room service breakfast and a wide range of lunch and dinner options with some local restaurants allowing charge back facilities to the hotel. | Getting There |
Shuttle Bus Service - (Eastern Suburbs Shuttle) operates Airport to Hotel transfers daily from 6.00am - 6.00pm. Adults $12.00 each way, children under 5 years free. Taxi - Taxi's are available to book from Hotel Reception. Bus - Frequent and varied Government bus services are available just 50 metres away. These services cover the Eastern beaches, Bondi Junction, Randwick and the CBD. By Car - If coming from the south, take General Holmes Drive and then Southern Cross Drive. Continue along until you reach Zetlan, avoiding the Eastern Distributor entrance and continuing along South Dowling Street. Follow the signs to Randwick, then turn right into Dacey Avenue and then straight through to Alison Road. Pass the Randwick Racecourse and continue on Alison Road through Randwick shops until you come to a set of traffic lights (Carrington Road). Turn right into Carrington Road and left at the 2nd street (Dolphin Street). Drive through 2 roundabouts and all the way to the beach. You will reach a cul-de-sac where the Hotel and Carpark entrance are at your left. Drive into the Carpark and ring the doorbell to be allowed access. If coming from the north, follow the signs to the Randwick exit and follow Anzac Parade until you reach Alison Road. Turn left into Alison Road, pass Randwick Racecourse and continue through Randwick shops until you come to a set of traffic lights (Carrington Road). Turn right into Carrington Road and left at the 2nd street (Dolphin Street). Drive through 2 roundabouts and all the way to the beach. You will reach a cul-de-sac where the Hotel and Carpark entrance are at your left. Drive into the Carpark and ring the doorbell to be allowed access. |

| Things To Do |
Coogee Beach is one of Sydney's safest family, ocean beaches and is surrounded by parklands. The local coastal walks from Coogee are spectacular as they wind their way along the cliff tops and through local parks and gardens, north to Bondi Beach and South to Maroubra Beach. There is a great selection of cafes, bistros, restaurants, and clubs in the immediate area that offer excellent dining options and entertainment. Getting into the CBD is a 15-20 minute bus ride away and these run regularly all day and late into the night. The bus services also connect to the nearby Bondi Junction railway station and bus interchange. |
