| Things To Do |
See the sunset over the ocean! At many different locations along our magnificent coast line or from the top of the Moresby Range. Explore the unique environment of one of a listed "Environmental Hotspots"; the Coral Coast is listed next to the Amazon Forest and the Sumatra Jungles for its diversity of wildlife - and the wildflowers have to be seen to be believed. Visit the HMAS Sydney Memorial which commemorates the only German vs Allies sea battle in Australian waters in World War II. Step back in history on the Shipwreck Coast - Dutch shipwrecks abound along the Coral Coast, and the display at the local Geraldton Museum is world class. Study artworks up close at the Regional Gallery - always thought provoking and interesting. Follow the heritage trail through the town - plaques tell the history of Geraldton. Swim, snorkel, canoe, play with sea lions, windsurf, surf, lie around in the sun, Geraldton's beaches are second to none. Go bush - head out into the real outback; it's wonderful. And the kangaroos will look back at you! |
