The House of Laurels has five self contained cottages that will suit couples on a romantic break, friends wanting a relaxing getaway or larger families or groups. Some of the features are spa baths, cosy fireplaces and awesome views. The cottages are quiet and private while also being pet friendly and a short driving distance to both townships of Maleny and Montville. The cottages are within walking distance to the House of Laurels' wedding venue.

Badgers Wood is a self contained, secluded, cosy, two person open plan cottage perfect for a romantic getaway. Features include a spacious king bed, warming fireplace, luxurious spa bath, sitting area with sofa, TV and DVD, kitchenette and back patio looking out to lovely grounds.

Peacock Meadows is a two storey attic-styled Country cottage that offers a great escape for couples or a family of five. Upstairs in the attic bedroom, a king bed as well as a king single are located, along with a bathroom/toilet. Downstairs there is an additional double bed with a screen for privacy, a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area with TV and DVD as well as an additional toilet. For comfort a reverse cycle air conditioner is in place, and through the double French doors you can step out to a lovely BBQ patio area.

Possums Tail is a modern and luxurious two storey cottage that will suit two couples or a family of four. This fresh and comfortable cottage has breathtaking country and coastal views and is extremely private and quiet. Amenities upstairs include light and airy living area with amazing views, lovely deck with outdoor setting and cosy fireplace, TV and DVD as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms are located downstairs - one queen bedroom and one open double bedroom with a privacy screen; both share a modern white bathroom.

Possums Nest is located next to Possums Tail and also takes full advantage of the awesome views on offer. These are seen from the wide wrap-around verandah that is perfect for entertaining or relaxation. A BBQ may be hired if this is on your agenda! This modern and luxurious holiday house offers a great escape for couples or groups of up to eight persons. Guests are accommodated in two bedrooms; the master features a spa bath, while the other bedroom has another bathroom to access. The expansive living area features a modern chaise lounge as well as two comfortable double fold out couches that will accommodate extra guests. This area also has a TV and DVD, a fully equipped kitchen, timber dining table with leather chairs and a cosy fireplace. The perfect place for a getaway - the cows are the only neighbours!

Wattle Lane is a two storey fully self-contained large house and is suitable for families or large groups comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests. Within the house there are three bedrooms - the Family Room which features two queen sized beds and a shower/toilet ensuite, a walk in robe and has plenty of space. The Family Room is connected with the double room next door by a lovely spa bath room and the third room has a king size bed, full sized mirror, and opens to an outdoor area. Both the Double and King rooms access another bathroom/toilet. Upstairs there is a spacious living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and lovely deck and outdoor setting for additional entertaining. A double pull out couch is also located upstairs for additional guests along with a cosy fireplace and reverse cycle air-conditioner for comfort. A CD stereo system and DVD player are also on-site.

All guests are welcome to use the tennis court which is a short stroll through the lovely, manicured grounds that surround all cottages, as well as a splash pool located at the House of Laurels' Main House. A BBQ may be hired for entertaining for an additional charge.

House of Laurels can also organise additional extras for you such as a breakfast hamper to cook your own breakfast or champagne and chocolates to celebrate a special occasion. Please just ask us!

Check In Instructions Please head to the Main House of Laurels' front room and office to register your stay and be directed to your cottage. If checking in after Office hours please contact House of Laurels' directly for further instruction.

Getting There Follow the Bruce Highway either north from Brisbane or south from Nambour until you see the exit for Steve Irwin Way. Take this, and from here follow along until you take the Landsborough exit, then follow The Blackall Range Tourist Route to Maleny. Once you get to the top of the Range, you will see the turn off to Montville on the right hand side; take this and look for the Maleny Cheese Factory on the LHS. The House of Laurels is directly opposite on the RHS off Sinclair's Lane - turn left into the driveway just after our main sign. Please follow the signs for car parking. Our office can be accessed from either the main front door at the front of the Heritage house or via the stairs from the car park.

Things To Do House of Laurels' cottages are close to tourist activities with plenty of sites to visit. Situated halfway between both Maleny and Montville provides you with an array of choices and adventures to explore. Maleny is the home of award-winning restaurants, the Maleny Cheese Factory (a short walk from the cottages), quaint shops, markets, a winery, and art and craft galleries. You can enjoy views of the Glass House Mountains from nearby Mountain View Road and partake in rainforest walks, sailing, fishing, swimming and golf if desired. Montville is a charming village full of historic sites, amazing views, a winery and a variety of mouth-watering cafes and award winning restaurants; the perfect place to stroll and relax.
