Airways Motel is just a 4 minute drive to Hornby Mall which features a Cinema 3, a number of fast food outlets, along with a Pak N Save Supermarket that is open until Midnight daily. Only 8 mins to Riccarton Westfield Mall and 15 mins to City Centre. For the Skiers we are just over 1 hours drive to Mount Hutt Ski Field. Snow shuttles pick up at front gate. Only a 4 minute drive to the Antartica Centre and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, approximately 10 minutes drive. Discount vouchers are available for these attractions along with the Gondola, Tram and other events. Take advantage of the 1 hour drive to beautiful Akaroa and swim with the dolphins, or, take a harbour cruise. Amazing Balloon flights can be booked at reception, a great way to see the Canterbury Plains. The Riccarton Race Course is just around the corner for a day at the races or, the Sunday Market! For those that prefer the city life, there is a city bus stop just outside the front door! Visit the Cathedral Square and see the Arts Centre, the Aquarium and the Kiwi House. Or if continuing your journey further south - book a 'Real Journeys'Milford Sound experience at reception. |
