Durack House is an elegant Edwardian home situated in the quiet garden suburb of Mt Lawley,just 3 kilometers from the CBD. Perth Domestic and International Airport are but ten to fifteen minutes away,and if you are going East on the Indian Pacific Train, five minutes and you will be at the East Perth Station. Smoking is not permitted in rooms or in private courtyard off courtyard room. The vibrant cafe strip in Beaufort Street with its vast array of eateries from the cheap and cheerful to fine dining is only a 5 minutes walk. There are numerous boutique bars and brasseries and an arthouse cinema. For those who enjoy walking or cycling the beautiful Swan River with its walkways and cyclepaths is within easy reach. For those venturing further afield the train station is a mere 300 metres away giving you access to the City also the Port of Fremantle. The gardens at Durack House offer a tranquil retreat after a busy day sightseeing. Enjoy a drink in the evening under the beautiful Camphor Laurel or find yourself a quiet corner on the veranda. An elegant and comfortable sitting room is available exclusively to guests at all times. Tea and coffee making facilities together with a refrigerator are provided for your convenience. A continental breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in the conservatory or the garden. Guests have their own entry from the front veranda, through a lovely leadlight door. The home is situated on the corner of Almondbury Road and Farnley St with guests parking being accessed from Almondbury Road. Durack House Bed and Breakfast offers three individual bedrooms, two queen size rooms each with ensuites and a king size(or twin)with ensuite (clawfoot bath and separate shower) All rooms have en-suite bathrooms,individual reverse cycle air conditioning,electric blankets TV's and dvd's with in-house movies,hairdryer, iron and ironing board and comfortable beds with quality linen also a choice of pillow. . |

Corner of Almondbury Rd and Farnley St. 300 metres from the train station 15 min to domestic airport.By taxi from Perth Airport it costs around $25 The Perth area Airport Shuttle is available for approx. $11 - $13 per person. From Perth City: By train to Mt Lawley is four stops and takes about 10 minutes and Durack House is approx 300 metres from the station. By car, Farnley St is accessed from Walcott Street and the B & B is on the corner of Farnley St. and Almondbury Rd. |

With easy access to both Perth and Fremantle there are several tours which include the Swan Valley vineyards, the Pinnacles, Penguin and Seal Islands, Swan River boat tours. Or take a day trip to Rottnest Island.Or just head out to coast and enjoy a morning at the beach or lunch over looking the beautiful Indian Ocean. The choice is limitless and can be booked through the Perth Tourist Office. |
