Apollo Bay is located 2½-3 hours from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road or via the Otway Ranges. Public transport - Train from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne to Geelong, and V Line bus to Apollo Bay daily. |

Apollo Bay is a popular sea-side town on the Great Ocean Road, centrally located & surrounded by the Great Otway National Park and fantastic beaches. The village atmosphere ensures visitors have a wide range of choices including various cafes, restaurants and two hotels offering a wide range of food experiences, and a variety of retail shops, art galleries and a museum highlighting the history and the community in days gone by. The harbour with it's active fishing fleet and the fisherman's co-op ensure seafood is popular. Relax and unwind, Apollo Bay beauticians and masseurs provide a wide range of treatments and techiniques. Apollo Bay hosts a weekly Saturday morning community market highlighting local food, arts & crafts on the foreshore. Apollo Bay Annual Events include: the Apollo Bay Music Festival, the Great Ocean Road Marathon, Apollo Bay Art Show, Apollo Bay Argricultural Show, Apollo Bay Great Ocean Swim & Apollo Bay Open Golf Tournament. From bushwalks, waterfalls and scenic drives through rainforest to beaches providing swimming, fishing and surfing Apollo Bay has something for everyone. Wildlife can be spotted in the area, kangaroos and koalas and a wide variety of birds, the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology provides guided and non-guided walks.
