The Clarendon Hotel has a unique blend of accommodation and entertainment facilities. Originally constructed in the 1930’s, The Clarendon has been redeveloped to create a new stylish boutique hotel, whilst at the same time retaining it’s historical charm. We offer 20, 4 star boutique style accommodation, located on both our first and second floors, serviced by a security-controlled lift. Each room has individually controlled air conditioning, its own Ensuite, tea/coffee making facilities, FOXTEL and some have balconies. Our Suites offer additional kitchenette facilities such as a microwave and toaster and a double sofa bed. In the atmosphere below, we can satisfy your hunger in our restaurant with our delicious always-improving menu and a nice cold drink in our stylish art deco cocktail bar. With relaxing acoustic grooves in our open undercover courtyard, every weekend. |

Rates are for 4 people. This suite is a larger version of the standard. Bedding configuration is a queen bed + 1 double sofabed. Microwave, toaster & tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have ensuites, air-conditioning, FOXTEL & wireless internet Rates are for 4 people. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
Located on the main street of Newcastle, the Clarendon Hotel is directly opposite the civic train station and easy to find by car. From Sydney International Airport- Take the F3 Highway following the North Coast/Newcastle signs. Take the Wallsend exit off the F3 and follow the signs to the city centre. Turn left at Union St, right at King St and left into Burwood St (where our car park is located) The approximate distance and time to the hotel is 160km and 2 hours. From Newcastle Airport (Williamtown). Drive South along Nelson Bay road following the signs to Newcastle, crossing over the Stockton Bridge. Keep following the signs to Newcastle’s city centre. The civic train station is directly opposite the hotel and there is a bus stop right outside the front doors of the hotel. |

Car parking facilities are located at the back of the hotel off King St. Parking is a free off-street facilitiy, which is not undercover, but is secure with an operating 24hr security surveillance system. Parking spaces are not guaranteed. |

The Clarendon Hotel is closely surround by, the Newcastle Regional Art Gallery, the City Library, the ever-growing stylish harbour front, long stretches of fine dining, the Newcastle Visitors centre, Newcastle Regional Museum, the playhouse, the Civic Theatre and the notoriously breath-taking beaches. With public transport available as you step out the front door. After all the hustle and bustle, there is nothing quite like unwinding in the cafes or relaxing on the fabulous beaches that Newcastle has to offer. After all, relaxing is what a holiday is all about. |
