As a two level motel with 16 units purpose built in a maritime style Sails Motor Lodge is conveniently situated opposite the main swimming beach. Sails Motor Lodge is renowned for its magnificent views of the lake and mountains. The straight uninterrupted sight of the three volcanoes on the horizon is breathtaking. Simply kick back, relax and enjoy the spectacular sunset from your balcony. You will be impressed by our modern motel complex, with well appointed rooms and the best in facilities, whether you are a business or leisure traveller. It's not only that we have efficient room layouts, designed for your comfort and relaxation but also the location close to town amenities will make your stay very convenient. One Bedroom Unit - All one bedroom units are located at ground level. The rooms are well designed with the bedroom located in the back of the unit. In the middle part you will find the kitchen and bathroom. The lounge is in the front with a sliding door opening to a patio. Deluxe Studio Spa Unit - All studio units are located upstairs, are spacious and well set-up for your convenience. Most of all the views from these units will make your stay unforgettable! Sails Motor Lodge is located only a few metres from the edge of the pristine Lake Taupo just opposite the main swimming beach. We are 1.5 km from the town centre where you will find an amazing variety of shops and restaurants. Coming from South: 5km past Taupo Airport and 500 metres past Napier Highway you will find us on the right hand side at 138 Lake Terrace. |
