Explore the Village by taking the historic walk around Yungaburra. The heart of the village,established in 1890,has been listed by the National Trust of Queensland. There are several excellant restaurants in which to dine- all within a few minutes walk from your accommadation.
Peterson Creek is just a few minutes walk away-an easy place to see platypus. The walk way follows the creek to a delightful swimming place called Frawley's Pool.
Yungaburra is located only one and half hours drive from Cairns,in the heart of the scenic Atherton Tablelands and central to the world Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest, the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.

Getting There	Yungaburra is one and a half hours from Cairns. As a car is useful to tour the area it is advisable to hire a car from Cairns. Allumbah Pocket Cottages reception is on the main road through the village.
Parking	Off street parking. Plenty of space for trailers, boats and larger vehicles. Limited space in secure garage - suitable for motorcycles and push bikes.
Things To Do	This is the perfect centre for exploring the natural wonders the Tablelands have to offer. It is also a bird watchers and animal lovers paradise with local experts ready to share their knowledge. Walking tracks and hikes are in abundance for the more energetic. The local craters lakes are safe for swimming. There are also very good outlets for local crafts and produce. The Yungaburra markets take place every fourth Saturday.
