The main international gateway for Northland is Auckland. For international visitors transfer to Air New Zealand Link domestic flights or take a charter coach service or hire a car. By Road: Travel the Twin Coast Discovery Highway, a world class touring route which leaves from and returns to Auckland. If travelling by car you are only 3 hours drive away. By Air: There are 3 airports - Whangarei, Kerikeri, Kaitaia, all serviced by Air New Zealand Link. Flight time from Auckland to Whangarei is 30 minutes and Kerikeri to is 40 minutes. There are charter services and hire care companies located in these areas. |
