The Helmhaus Hotel, located at the old pier (German Schifflände) along the river Limmat, is one of the oldest guesthouses in town. The hotel is completely non smoking. In 1990 the hotel was completely renovated. The façade, four floors, and supporting structures were all redone and air conditioning and fire protection integrated. The 24 rooms–all equipped with bath or shower–feature a mini-bar, a phone, air conditioning, LCD Flat-screen TV with more than 40 international channels and a desk with a computer link. The Superior and Comfort Rooms are equipped with a safe. Every room features wireless LAN Net to get easy access to the Internet and it is free of charge. |

| Getting There |
By car: You will reach the Helmhaus Hotel from 'Bellevue' square. Choose the lane leading into the 'Limmatquai' and follow it. After 200 meters, a brown signpost points to the Helmhaus Hotel. Turn right into the pedestrian zone right after the bookshop 'Romanica'. Then turn left into 'Schifflände' and you will see the Helmhaus Hotel to your right. By train: Take tramway No. 4 heading towards Tiefenbrunnen. It leaves just outside Zurich main station. Get off at the stop called Helmhaus. Cross the road and walk along the Limmatquai for about 100 yards in direction of the lake. There you are! By air: The airport shuttle bus service named City-Hotelbus (SLS Limousinen Service AG) takes you into the city every 30 min. The bus stop is located between Terminal A and Terminal B at Zurich Airport. Just get on, tell the driver the name of the hotel and he/she will drop you off in front of the Helmhaus Hotel.
