Although they don’t have a view of the lake they are nestled in a large garden amidst large old trees... a rarity in Lake Tekapo. The village with a good variety of restaurants is only 3 minutes walk, the lake is only 2 minutes. |

| Getting There |
WHERE IS LAKE TEKAPO? Just three hours drive from Christchurch or Queenstown, or four hours drive from Dunedin, Lake Tekapo is situated in the very heart of the South Islands High Country. If you are coming from Christchurch - before you reach the village you will see a bridge crossing the outlet of the lake. Turn right before the bridge, down toward the lake, and the CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPERD (It is signposted) Turn right again at the first side street, which is SEALY ST, which is a culdesac and we are the last house. If you are coming from Queenstown - drive through the village and over the bridge at the outlet from the lake. Turn left directly at the end of the bridge down toward the lake, and the CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPERD (It is signposted) Turn right again into SEALY ST, which is a culdesac and we are the last house. |
