This beautiful Edwardian former Manse is only a few minutes walk from Daylesford's town centre, its prominent position provides stunning views across town and beyond. Each room has its own luxurious individual style with open fireplace, deep claw foot bath, warming towel rails, small TV/DVD player, CD/Radio, kitchette with kettle, toaster, microwave & small fridge. Please note: we do not have air conditioning only desk fans in the rooms. Warm yourself on a cold night in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Our Kaiser Spa Bath (for two)- the copper bath in the photo - and Soft Pac dry flotation treatment is quite unique to Australia. Spa, Massages, body wraps and facials are available. An accommodation and spa package is an ideal gift of romance for any occasion. The Razul - a unique European steam room - is almost ready for use - a little more maintenance is required. Lake Daylesford, Wombat hill botanic gardens and the beautiful Convent Gallery are all within walking distance. Casual and fine dining restaurants/cafes are located close by. For a five star dining experience try the Lake House Restaurant, only a few minutes drive or 10 minute walk. For a more casual dining experience with an old fashioned country feel try the Old Hepburn Hotel about 5 minutes drive down to Hepburn. The Convent Gallery is a place to spend a few hours, browsing the artworks, wondering through the gardens, then relaxing with a coffee and cake in the cafe or a drink and meal in the Altar Bar. The Pantechnicon Gallery in the main street also has an interesting display of artworks and is worth a look. The indoor Mill Markets with an extensive range of antiques, retro clothing and old wares is somewhere to spend a good few hours browsing. Daylesford is surrounded by State Forest with many walking trails. Lake Daylesford and Jubilee Lake are pretty spots for a picnic and a walk. For those wishing to taste a few local wines there are many wineries in the area, most opening their cellar doors on weekends and public holidays. Hepburn is home of The Palais entertainment venue. Live performances most weekends. When included in your package, breakfast provisions are usually a selection of packaged cereals, a packet of english muffins, butter, jam, honey, vegemite, orange juice and full cream milk. If you would prefer skim/lite/soy milk please indicate in 'guests comments' when booking. Also any special dietary needs, such as 'gluten free' can be provided. Fresh plunger coffee and fresh tea leaves, along with tea bags, instant coffee and sugar sachets are included in all rooms. |

| Getting There |
The Manse is located two blocks up from the main street of Daylesford in the heart of "Spa Country". Daylesford is approximately one and a half hours' drive from Melbourne via either the Western Hwy or Calder Hwy. Via Western Hwy : after taking the Daylesford turn off, follow the road to Daylesford (about a half hour drive) until you come in to town. At the first round-about turn right into Central Springs Rd, Camp Street is then the second street on the left. The Manse is located on the right at number 19. Via the Calder Hwy: take the Daylesford turn off at Woodend and follow the signs to Daylesford (about 40 minutes drive). As you are approaching Daylesford you will notice the cemetary on your right, then the Farmer's Arms Hotel on your left. Drive down until you see the Shell Service Station on your right, Camp Street is almost directly on the left, turn here. The Manse is then located just past the Police Station on the left. |
