The location of The Esplanade Hotel makes it an ideal Auckland conference and meeting venue - away from the interruptions and congestion of the Auckland CBD yet close enough for an easy commute back to downtown Auckland (10 minutes by ferry). The picturesque waterfront location of The Esplanade Hotel, with views over to Auckland, as well as the Edwardian architecture make for a refreshing change to the usual business environment. LARGE GROUPS of up to 40 delegates can be comfortably seated in The Esplanade Hotel's Main Conference Room. There are other nearby areas suitable for breakaway groups. SMALL GROUPS can be accommodated for in intimate and peaceful surroundings. Quiet, private, and away from distraction, The Penthouse Apartment has a spacious lounge which can comfortably seat up to 12 people. The Esplanade Suite is ideal for up to six delegates for a private meeting with lounge-style seating in front of the fireplace, or with a meeting table.

Check In Instructions	For an early morning check-in there is a $112.50 incl GST surcharge (advise hotel in advance, and pay hotel directly for this) The front door to the hotel is locked after 11pm. There is a night porter from 11pm to 7am.

Getting There	CAR: Travelling north from Auckland City, cross the Auckland harbour bridge and take the Esmonde Rd/Devonport exit. At the end of Esmonde Road, turn right into Lake Road. Follow the signs down Lake Road to Devonport, and at the very end turn right at the roundabout into Victoria Road. The Esplanade is at the foot of Victoria Road, opposite the ferry terminal. PRE-ARRANGED PERSONAL PICKUP: Avoid waiting at the airport with a pre-arranged personal pickup, where you will be driven to the door in the comfort of a luxury car. The driver will meet you in the arrivals hall with your name on a nameboard. The price for this service is $105 incl GST. Please contact The Esplanade Hotel directly to arrange this. AIRPORT SHUTTLES are taxi vans with luggage trailers located outside the domestic and international airport terminals. An airport shuttle will take you to The Esplanade Hotel's door for approximately $40 for one person, and $5 for the second person. Prices may vary. A TAXI from the airport will cost about $100, and takes about 40 minutes depending on the time of day. THE AIRBUS leave Auckland domestic and international terminals every 20 minutes from 6am, and the journey to Auckland city takes 60 minutes. Take the Airbus from the airport terminal to the ferry building downtown, and take the Devonport ferry which leaves half-hourly. The ferry ride is just 10 minutes. The Esplanade Hotel is just across the road from the Devonport ferry terminal.

Things To Do	Enjoy the heritage suburb of Devonport with its art studios, galleries, boutique shops, and heritage buildings.Relax and swim and either of the 3 beaches within walking distance (Cheltenham Beach, Torpedo Bay, Stanley Bay). Walk up Mt Victoria or North Head and enjoy the panoramic views over to Auckland city, Rangitoto Island, and the North Shore of Auckland. Take the Devonport ferry across to Auckland City (10 minutes), or take a ferry out to one of the islands in the Hauraki Gulf. Play golf at the Waitemata Golf Course, just a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
