Best Western Tropical Wanderer Resort is a 4 AAAT Star rated tropical paradise situated in North Rockhampton on the Tropic of Capricorn. The resort covers an area of 4 hectares (10 acres)of beautifully landscaped gardesn that has won numerous garden awards over the years from 1983 to 2007. The resort offers a large variety of all ground floor level non-smoking accommodation, all motel rooms have data point entry for laptops, free Austar viewing and parking right outside your door. Together with an a la carte restaurant, Outdoor Bistro and small conference centre your stay here at Tropical Wanderer Resort could not be anything but enjoyable. Tropical Wanderer Resort has two delightful swimming pools as well as a toddler's pool. Facilities also include half-court tennis, games room as well as the latest release movies shown nightly on the big screen, all available for your entertainment. Tropical Wanderer is also the perfect location for that get away shopping experience. The Rockhampton Stockland shopping centre is less than 1km south and the new and Red Hill Homemakers centre is directly adjacent. All within walking distance. The CQ university is only a 5 minute drive North and all schools and sporting venues are within 15 minutes by car or taxi. |

Discovery Holiday Parks - Rockhampton is on the Bruce Highway in North Rockhampton, adjacent to Emmaus College and the new Redhill Homemaker centre. It is approximately 15 minutes from the domestic Rockhampton Airport, the Railway Station and the Bus Terminals. The Rocky Taxi service is also readily available. |

| Things To Do |
Full day or half day tours can be organised to the Capricorn Coast and over to Great Keppel Island. You may prefer to explore the Capricorn Caves, abseil or climb high ropes or maybe take a stroll through yesteryear at the Rockhampton Heritage Village, Military Museum or the Steam Train Museum. Alternatively you could learn how to play the digeridoo at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre. The options are endless, come in and see our large brochure display rack of the region. |
