Fothergill's occupies three award-winning, heritage listed, double storey limestone houses with superb views over the town, the Indian Ocean beyond and Rottnest Island on the horizon. Within our walls are five traditional and elegantly furnished guest rooms all with a four star rating. Other more basic rooms are also available. The bedrooms, the house and gardens are decorated with a profusion of original paintings and sculpture. Occasional musical evenings take place. Enjoy breakfast in our bright and spacious dining room, where we serve a continental or a grand cooked breakfast (almost the only B&B in Freo still offering this!). In the evening you can relax on one of our balconies and watch the sun slide over the horizon. Or sit under the night sky in one of our courtyards. Bring a bottle of wine along and we can provide glasses. We can supply a gourmet cheese platter and/or other nibbles to accompany your wine. A five minute walk will take you to the town centre and the famous cappuccino strip with dozens of places to eat and drink. We are close to most attractions, bus, train and ferries. A free bus service (The CAT) weaves its way around Fremantle regularly and can drop you 100m from our door. Just a short stroll down the hill is a 50m pool and the Fremantle Arts Centre which offers a fascinating perspective of early Fremantle in its museum. Regular free and paid concerts, a wonderful craft shop and a tiny gourmet cafe can also be found there. ***PLEASE provide an arrival time so that we can greet you or arrange for your access if out of hours*** |
