Dunelm House is an award winning 4.5 star high set Queenslander style house, set amongst the cane fields of Bargara. Close by are the departure points for the southern islands of the Great Barrier Reef, and a 5 minute drive to Turtle Rookery, golf courses and clean beaches and rivers. Tea/coffee is always available and the guest lounge has Austar TV, Hi Fi and small library. There is a solar heated swimming pool/spa and off road undercover parking provided. The air-coditioned guest rooms have their own ensuite, clock radio and hair dryer. In the morning guests enjoy a full cooked English breakfast in the dinning room. Your hosts can arange tours to Lady Musgrave or Lady Elliot Islands, whale watching and the famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery. |

| Getting There |
Bundaberg is about a 4 hour drive north of Brisabane, with a further 10 minute drive to Bargara. Dunelm House is 9km east of Bundaberg and 3km West of Bargara on the Bargara Rd. Bundaberg/Bargara are regularly serviced by QANTAS, a train service, including the Tilt Train, and Coaches. Taxis and hire cars are available from all terminals. The local bus service stops in front of the B&B, Mon - Sat. Tour operators pick up at Dunelm House. The Budaberg port is only 10 kilometers away. |

| Things To Do |
Fly to Lady Elliot Island and enjoy snorkling, reef walks, and viewing of the Great Barrier Reef by Glass bottom boat. Watch turtles lay their eggs and the hatchlings struggle down Mon Repos beach between November - March. Play golf on one of the three golf courses or enjoy a quiet game of bowls. Learn to dive or just snorkle amongst the coral and colourful fish around the reefs just off the shore. Enjoy exploring the many rock pools at low tide or fish off the beach, hire a boat and go deep sea fishing. A visit to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, local Cooperage and river cruise are recommended Relax on one of our many stinger free beaches or in a local restaurant or Tavern. Visit the home and Hall of Fame dedicated to Bert Hinkler the first man to fly solo from England to Australia, and much more, just ask Dave or Penny, they have the local knowledge. |
