Within Devonport there is the Devonport Maritime Museum, Home Hill (home to Tasmania's only Prime Minister!), the Don River Railway, the Imaginarium (science museum), Devonport Art Gallery and Tiagarra (aboriginal cultural centre). Minutes away is Anvers Chocolate (restaurant, tastings), Ashgrove Cheese, and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm. Nearby is the Tasmanian Arboretum (58 hectares of native and exotic tree species - great for a family picnic), and don't forget the great shopping we have in town! Markets and boutique shops are our specialty! Edgewater is only 1.5 hours from Cradle Mountain, 40 minutes from Mole Creek caves. |
