Opened in 2003, Palms City Resort (3.5 star rating) is Darwin's newest and most unique accommodation concept! Ideally located on The Esplanade, overlooking Darwin Harbour, and opposite Parliament House, the resort offers 89 tropical style rooms. 37 standard motel rooms, each with a queen and single bed, Austar television, individually controlled air conditioner, ceiling fans, and ensuite. An additional 13 superior motel rooms with microwave, and some cooking facilities. 26 Duplex Villas with verandahs with electric BBQs and 13 Business/Executive Villas with cooking facilities, fax machine/internet access, spa baths (some Business villas with outside spas). Palms City Resort, a tropical oasis in the most sought after location in Darwin City. Come and experience the friendly,tropical atmosphere that was created to reflect the tropical ambiance that only Darwin can offer. All rooms are Non smoking. |

Follow Stuart Highway into Darwin City to the Esplanade. Turn left and follow for 1.5 kms to Palms City Resort on your left. The Centataph is on your right. Palms City Resort does not charge for car parking, however have only limited car spaces available. If you are unable to find a carpark the only available option is On Street Paid Car Parking. |

Spend the day in Darwin city shopping, take a leisurely stroll along the tropical Esplanade, have a sneak peak on a Parliament House tour, Fish-feeding at Doctors Gully (variable depending on tide times ask reception for a current time table), have a punt at the Casino, check out the world renowned Mindl Beach Markets on a Thursday and Sunday night (peak season only), dine out in Cullen Bay looking out over either the Cullen Bay Marina or the exquisite sunset over an ocean setting, get amongst the hive of activity and check out the Mitchell street nightlife, enjoy a day tour or drive yourself to the famous Litchfield Park and take a dip in the naturally formed rock holes and water falls, surrounded by tropical forrest. Let us organise your day trip or multiple day safari to take in the wonders of Kakadu National Park, complete with ancient rock art, being close up and personal with the native flora & fauna and cruise expeditions to name a few. |
