At Home Travellers Motel we offer clean, comfortable and secure accommodation in the heart of St.Kilda, Melbourne. We enjoy what we do and therefore you will receive the best and friendliest customer service! With a blend of backpacker dorm rooms and motel style private rooms we have a room to suit the lone traveller and couples alike! Private rooms are spacious with a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, tv, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and tea & coffee. Linen including towels is supplied. Our facilities include a communal kitchen, tv room, bbq area, internet access, wifi with personal laptop, free dvd hire, free parking (on a first come first served basis), laundry and tour information and bookings. Located in the heart of St.Kilda, we are literally a 2 minute walk from Acland St where you will find fantastic cafes, restaurants and bars! There are also all the major Australian banks as well as Coles and Safeway supermarkets and numerous clothing and gift stores. Enjoy a swim on a hot day or go for a bike ride along the beach which is approx 5 minutes walk from our door! Check out the view of the bay from Luna Park's scenic rollercaoster! The city is only 6 klms from St.Kilda with trams 16 and 96 running daily approx every 15 minutes! The journey takes 20-25 minutes. Home Travellers Motel is located at 32 Carlisle Street, St Kilda Melbourne.Street Directory page number 58 B 10. From Southern Cross Station take tram 96 to McDonalds in St.Kilda. We are approx 2 minute walk down Carlisle St, just over Barkly St. From Flinders St Station take tram 16 to stop 33 and we just across Barkly St on the left. From the airport please call us to find out the next available shuttle bus. |

Home Travellers Motel is situated in a retro style cosmopolitan suburb, which is lined with countless cafes and bars, fashion outlets and vintage shops. The beach is only 6 minute walk with a bicycle/rollerblading track running in both directions. St.Kilda's amusement park, Luna Park, is around the corner, the Sunday Market attracts the work of local artists, and the Jewish Musuem is only walking distance. A 10 min walk will lead you to Fitzroy Street where there is more cafes bars and clubs, and a cinema complex. From Fitzroy St you can check out Albert Park which is home to the famous F1 Grand Prix! St Kilda is only 10min drive from the city or a 20 minute tram ride . The opposite direction is Chapel Street where our guests can indulge in the most fashionable street in Australia. |
