At the Happy Wanderer Village we take pride in our 4 1/2 star AAA rating. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of facilities and service possible. The Wanderer has consistently been included in the top 1 % of parks in Australia for the last ten years (AAA rating) and has several times been listed in the Top Ten Parks in Queensland and Australia. The park is a member of Top Tourist Parks of Australia We aim to provide your complete holiday. One call books any type of accommodation or site you want at a realistic price. We have contemporary, upmarket villas, backpacker accommodation and the largest selection of tourist ensuite sites in Queensland. As well, of course, as cabins, standard sites and camping. The park is situated in a quiet street, an easy 300 m stroll from the beach. It's away from the bustle, yet easy to find direct off Boat Harbour Dve - the road into Hervey Bay. Public transport picks up from outside the gate, as do the RSL and Boat Club courtesy buses. Tour companies as well, of course. You'll be able to get everything you need within about a two kilometre radius of the park. A major supermarket is close by as well as all the shops in the Torquay village area, including bakers, butcher, newsagent and pub. Within easy reach you will also find bowling clubs, a variety of restaurants and take aways, sailing clubs and sporting facilities. Nearby, as well, you'll find catamaran and jet ski hire. Also tennis, squash courts and skating rink. Golf clubs are a short drive away - pardon the pun. |

| Things To Do |
1, 2, and 3 day tours depart daily for Fraser Island, there is a number of fishing charters going on a regular basis. Whale Watching season is from late July till late October each year and is some of the best sight seeing in the world. In addition to this there is a number of local attraction on the mainland. |
