The house is located on Tourist Drive 32, between Lismore (18km) and Nimbin (8km), next to The Channon in the heart of the Rainbow Region.

RainbowStay Nmbin is exclusively yours and there are no other holiday-makers on this peaceful property. You'll also have the large 13m salt water swimming pool and sun deck all to yourselves in the swimming season...
Easily found and very accessible by sealed road. In the hamlet of Coffee Camp, RainbowStay is handy to Nimbin village 8km further up the road to the north and Lismore City 18km to the south from which Byron Bay can be reached in 40 minutes.
It provides a central base to explore the Rainbow Region of Lismore & Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers with beach and rainforest and all the markets and villages such as The Channon within easy reach.
The accommodation:-
* The master bedroom has a queen bed, vanity unit, Deco dressing table with matching bedside tables with bedside lamps, full-size wardrobe with bar fridge, bay window with blanket box and French doors leading onto your private north facing verandah with fabulous valley views.
* The adjoining "Black & Gold" bedroom has twin single beds which can be made up as a king for long stays, a vanity unit, full-size Deco wardrobe with full-length mirror, bedside table and lamps and French doors leading onto the north facing verandah which connects with the master bedroom.
* A double sofa bed with an inner spring mattress can sleep an extra one or two people in the lounge room.
* A full size bathroom with bath and a separate shower recess and dual-flush toilet all using pure rainwater as befits this self-sustaining, rainforest residence.
* Lounge room with double sofa-bed, log fire, recliner, bay window, high definition digital 32" (1366x768) LCD eco-friendly television with DTV USB recording, USB InfoLink and 4 x HDMI receiving all free land to air channels, 5.1 HDMI Upscaling DVD player with USB, ceiling fan, a games table, library and local tourist info.
* Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, toaster, jug and cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The kitchen has entrances to the dining room and the north facing verandah.
* Large country elegant dining room with grandfather clock.
* Verandahs on three sides of the house including the large north facing verandah which is ideal for young children and pets as there is no entrance or exit from it other than the bedrooms or the kitchen. The north facing verandah has tables and chairs, a day bed and exercise bikes with views over the Nimbin Valley.
* Large salt water pebble-dashed pool with steps wide enough to sit upon leading into the pool near the covered sun deck and surrounded by tropical gardens with mountain views.
RainbowStay is a self-sustaining house leaving a negative carbon footprint (carbon sink) with a Grid Interactive Dual Electricity supply of a 4.75kW solar array on the roof.
RainbowStay is already self-sustaining for all sweet water, waste water treatment amd disposal, fuel for winter heating and waste management. A forest is maintained on the property as a carbon sink to compensate for petrol and gas usage. The smallholding is undergoing regeneration by the resident owner from a degraded cattle property and is registered with Land for Wildlife and is a member of Humane Society International's Wildlife Land Trust.
Pet friendly
Trained pets are welcome at RainbowStay with prior notice. Food and water bowls are provided in secure enclosures and house-trained pets are welcome indoors. A small tariff is payable for the facilities and for the pest control, extra cleaning, sanitising and deodorising needed for all guest comfort. This will be payable on arrival at a charge of $10 per day or $60 weekly each pet.

| Getting there | Directions to Coffee Camp from the North: (NSW/QLD border: 60 minutes) Drive to the Gold Coast and take the M1 Pacific Hwy into New South Wales and take the Murwillumbah (Tourist Drive 40 via Mt Warning) turnoff. When in Murwillumbah, follow the signs to Nimbin/Kyogle (Tourist Drive 32). Continue on the Murwillumbah-Kyogle Road until the turnoff on the left to Nimbin/Lismore (Tourist Drive 32). Drive through Nimbin village on the Nimbin-Lismore Road until you reach the first School Zone (about 10km) which is the Village of Coffee Camp. RainbowStay is the first driveway on your right after passing those signs just over the crest of the hill. The Coffee Camp School is on your left, opposite. A rainbow flag will be flying in the front grounds. Number 1857 is on the entrance pillar near the great fig tree. Blink and you will miss it. To get to Coffee Camp from the South: Drive to Grafton and take the Summerland Way (the Old Pacific Hwy) to Lismore via Casino. This route is much quicker and shorter than the Pacific Highway to Ballina turning off at the Bruxner Highway (National Route 44) for Lismore. From Lismore City follow the signs to Nimbin. Once on the Nimbin Road, drive until the second School Zone (about 18km) which is the Village of Coffee Camp. The estate is the second driveway on your left after entering the hamlet. The Coffee Camp School is on your right, opposite. A rainbow flag will be flying in the front grounds. Number 1857 is on the entrance pillar. Blink and you will miss it. There's a shorter, cross-country route from Casino which by-passes Lismore City. This route goes from Casino via Naughtons Gap, Blakebrook Road to the Nimbin Road at Goolmangar. |
