Sand Castles on Moreton is a luxury self-contained three level, five bedroom beach front house at Tangalooma on Moreton Island. It has panoramic bay views and is a short walk to the beach, wrecks and Tangalooma resort facilities. It is one of the few beach front houses that can be driven to by vehicle.
On the upper level of the house there are two queen rooms, one of which has an ensuite and two rooms with double bunks. There is a separate bathroom and laundry as well as a rumpus room including TV with Foxtel. You will also find a large balcony with sun loungers.
The middle level has one king room with ensuite and kitchenette, as well as an open plan living, dining and fully equipped gourmet kitchen. This level opens onto a deck with outdoor dining and BBQ facilities.
Finally, on the lower floor there is an optional family room with one queen and two single beds along with an ensuite bathroom. There is also a separate bathroom, laundry facilities and kitchenette. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning.

| Getting there | The house is located at the far northern end of the Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island. It is a large blue house and is commonly referred to as House 10 in the Coign Estate. Via Mi Cat ferry transfers Those requiring vehicles (only by 4WD) it is via the beach road for guests arriving on the Mi Cat ferry. It is a short 2 min drive from the wrecks landing point or 15 min walk for guests with no vehicle. Drive or walk along the beach towards the resort. Follow the vehicle path that veers left. At the entrance of the resort turn left into the private estate (Coign Estate) and it is the first house. The Mi Cat leaves from 18 Howard Smith Drive at the port of Brisbane. Via Tangalooma Flyer ferry transfers The Tangalooma Flyer passenger ferry arrives at the southern end of Tangalooma Resort. This is approximately a 15 min walk or short buggy ride from the pier. If required, the resort can organise to drop your luggage at the house. The flyer departs from Holt St, Pinkenba in Brisbane and has a bus and taxi service to the city and airport from the depot. Both Mi Cat and Tangalooma Flyer services make regular trips daily. |
