Hawkins House, located on 3500 acres of a working cattle property, is a four bedroom house that sleeps up to eight people. The house has a bathroom, toilet and ensuite in the main bedroom. There are full kitchen facilities available for your use. Air conditioning and heating as well as ceiling fans and opening windows are throughout the property making for a comfortable stay. For entertaining there is a large verandah and BBQ facilities.
Our working cattle property is great for exploring or just relaxing and taking in the beautiful surrounds. It has a running creek below the house. Also on the property, just a little distance from the house is a large dam for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Next to that is a turtle hole, which is a 15 metre deep well that a number of turtles inhabit. We have sheds and a carport for car parking. Our property is pet friendly and perfectly suited to a family holiday.
There is cattle yards that can be used to keep your horse in.
We recommend bringing all your food and other basic supplies. This is a non-smoking property.

| Getting there | From Brisbane take the Mount Lindsay Highway to Beaudesert. From the Gold Coast come up through Canungra to Beaudesert. From Beaudesert take the Mt Lindsay Highway (for 29km) towards Rathdowney. Turn left into Innisplains Rd, first left into Oaky Creek Rd, drive across the old wooden bridge and follow Oaky Creek Rd around to the right. Go over the cattle grid onto the gravel road. Hawkins House is on your right hand side after the cattle yards. The trip either from Brisbane or the Gold Coast will take approximately 90 minutes. |
