This secluded holiday house is one for the total city escape. The spacious three bedroom house is nestled on a hill-side at peaceful Valentine on the shores of Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle. Nature surrounds you with the unique bushland and frequent visitors from an array of bird life and some curious but gorgeous possums. The ambience is undeniable with the gentle breezes from the lake blowing the leaves, as you relax with your choice of food and beverage.
The Escape @ Valentine house has the WOW factor to impress for a special occasion or the simple comforts of home to feel relaxed with the family. The accommodation can sleep up to six persons (or seven persons max as we can provide a portable cot for an infant at no charge).

Valentine Bowling Club is situated in a beautiful waterfront reserve location! Jessie's Bistro has great meals at fantastic prices and best of all there is a courtesy bus that can drop you home!
The local shopping village has everything you could possibly need from an independent grocer, cafe restaurant, fish and chip takeaway, Malaysian/Chinese restaurant, butcher, bottle shop, hair dressers, beauty salon, chemist, newsagent, medical centre and more. There are lakeside playgrounds and many free community BBQs and picnic areas.
Hunter Valley wineries are approximately 50 minutes drive away.

All payments to the Lake Limo’s accommodation are to be made either in cash or by direct bank deposit (please leave your name as a reference!). In the event of cancellation, the deposit paid will be refunded only if the accommodation is re-let for the period booked, unless cancelling within 14 days of your stay, then the whole deposit will be forfeited. Final balance is due on arrival/check in. Reservations will be cancelled without further notice if monies are not received on or before the due date. |

| Getting there | Less than two hours from Sydney, 20 minutes from Newcastle City. From Sydney come North up the F3. After the double service stations, turn left off at Lake Macquarie East exit (sign says Doylson, Swansea, Charlestown). Follow the Pacific Hwy through Doyalson, Swansea etc. At the Belmont lights (with a sign stating left to Warners Bay), turn left in that direction heading toward the lake on Macquarie Drive. Follow the lake road around, you will pass the 16 Footers Sailing Club and Belmont Hospital. The next suburb sign you will see is Valentine. Take the second left after this sign which is Andrew Rd. Follow Andrew Road up the hill veering left. Escape is down a steep drive at 107a Andrew Rd. (An A-frame sign is situated out the front of the property, so you will know it's the right place). There is a local bus stop directly across the road. Or train stations nearby are either Cardiff or Teralba, each being about 10 minutes away. |

| Things to do | We recommend taking a spin on Lake Macquarie's newest hire boat 'The Lake Limo', to explore the lake. No boat licence is required. It is a luxury pontoon party boat that seats eight adults. For activities: Very obviously for fun we have boat hire for boating, fishing, exploring or simply swimming and cruising. ?The Lake Limo? pontoon party boat can be picked up from Valentine?s local jetty for fun in the sun. Bushwalkers: Green Point Reserve is practically at your doorstep and can be accessed by a number of local routes to explore and enjoy. Swimmers: you can swim at Valentine Hydrotherapy pools, designated swimming areas in the lake or head to one of the many local beaches which are only a quick five to ten minute drive away. Shoppers: Warners Bay or Belmont shopping complexes are five minutes away. The newly re-developed Charlestown Square or Westfield Kotara are each only 10 minutes drive away! The possibilities are endless at these venues from Fitness First Gym, Gold Class Cinemas, Ten-pin bowling, endless eateries and clothing stores. Then Newcastle is a 20 minute drive from Valentine with even more shopping, beaches, cafes and eateries, and clubbing and hotel establishments.
