Location
Situated in the quite culdesac of Cavvanbah Street west of Byron centre, Heliconia @ Kiah is a brand new beach house built within the private enclave of the Kiah beach properties. Built behind the sand hills of the Byron beach, Heliconia is a 2 minute stroll to the surf, a 10 minute beach walk to town or a 5 minute drive to the town centre.
Accommodation
Designed and completed in 2009, the Beach House was built sparing no expense and the interior and furnishings reflect that. Indeed, it is the modern quintessential Australian beach house.
Spacious lounge, dining room and kitchen designed in an open plan. Where the living area spills out onto a spacious hardwood deck with a setting for 6 , a stainless barbeque, overhead heater and lounger, all surrounded by a lush tropical garden and falling to a small lawn.
A very generous master bedroom with its own luxury bathroom with a magnificent bath, built for two. The second bedroom again generous in size and has its own separate oversize bathroom. Both bedrooms have bush and ocean views and are facing north.
The overall finishes and furnishings are what one would expect in a quality home like this and at the same time, Heliconia is 'very Byron'.
Features
Heliconia @ Kiah has its own exclusive private access to the beach which is a short 2 minute stroll through the bush sand hills. This is in self a great feature where lots of Australian fauna can be seen, including, brush turkeys, goannas, lorikkeets and other parrots, kookaburras, and lots more.
The House faces north and basks in sunshine all year round. Large floor to ceiling glass walls flood the house with natural light and creates a feeling of openness and space.
The house has been created with privacy in mind and to sit on the deck and listen to the surrounding sounds of the Australian bush and the breaking of the nearby waves is wonderful. We are also lucky to have two resident Kookaburras who are happy to feed from your hand, if you are patient. Also enjoy the stainless Barbeque and oven and in the winter we have a gas overhead heater that works a treat.
Internally Heliconia has a luxury family kitchen with Miele' dishwasher, oven cooktop, expresso machine and all one needs on a self contained holiday at the beach. Relax in the premium leather lounge and watch the large LED, TV with surround sound and 'Blue Ray' DVD player as well as IPod plug in facility and Foxtel pay TV.
The bedrooms have lots of storage and are more than generous in size and flooded with natural light. Overhead fans and air conditioning are throughout the house.
Their is also secure off street parking for two cars. You have at your disposal a magnificent 22metre tiled swiming pool for your enjoyment and a oversize stone clad sun deck within the Kiah estate.
