The Kingston is excellent for the price. It's clean and the several different desk clerks I interacted with were friendly, polite and helpful. Keep in mind that it's an old building, and the rooms are small. This is reflected in the price. The WiFi works well. Ample towels were supplied, along with a couple of bathrobes and slippers. There is a disadvantage to the area, in that it's hard to find a place to get an early breakfast. I was there for business and I would have liked to have been able to find a full breakfast somewhere close by at, say, 7 AM. That's not a fault of the hotel, just a disadvantage of the area.

Bare minimum
Its like a hotel out of the 1930s or 40s, which can be charming for some. There's no TVs in the room and you can't control the temperature well. They also lock you out after 10pm which really threw me off. If you have no other options, it's an okay place to stay, but at least give folks a TV if they have to share a bathroom with strangers

Well maintained, very comfortable older hotel. Simon at the front desk and the manager were both very helpful. Parking was provided at no extra cost.
