Very good stay in Stellenbosch
Very friendly staff and extremely central, close to all shops and restaurants. Excellent valet parking and lovely breakfast. Corridors to the room could do with a bit of sprucing up, the odd skirting board missing and plain white walls which make the place look a bit ordinary. Perhaps they’re mid renovation so not a big deal but some improvements would make a massive difference and create a much better impression on first arriving. Lovely place though.

Prime location on one of Stellenbosch’s most historic streets. Mix of older & newer structures and so too of rooms in different styles, all likeable. This time I had one of the older ones but with fully modern bathroom fittings etc. Based around a central courtyard which is a lovely area to sit both day & evening. Very charming. The restaurant with its own covered courtyard delivers some rather good dishes on its short menu. The bar is delightful, again with older style decor. A few too many steps at my age, and rather low water pressure. But these are the only mild shortcomings; otherwise it’s perfect. I did not use the valet parking this visit, but know from experience it’s gold dust in this location.
