Budget hotel in central location

Location: Within walking distances of all the featured George Town attractions. Many budget restaurants nearby - Malay, Indian, Chinese specialty eateries
The Sovereign is pretty much as promoted and in the photos - comfortable, clean & cheap - except there are a couple of important things.. - Rooms facing the road are very noisy due to a futsal pitch opposite (play very noisily until 3am) and a karaoke bar nearby, going until midnight, every night. Management of the 3 hotels nearby have been unsuccessful in curbing the din - Breakfast is truly basic and frankly speaking best avoided - make alternative plans (Sunway Hotel close by serves excellent buffet breakfast for 20MR)
