Property on average was okay.Disappointing that roof top pool was unavailable. Even though staff were friendly things were constantly having to be asked to be done more than once. Communication seems to be hard at time with staff.

On arrival had bad fall outside as fell over their uneven plastic hump (broke shoulder). Aircon in room was not working. Then had to endure 3 days they were taking down a roof. After that had 2 nights with no sleep as staff were playing ballroom music all night. Finally saw mgr who said sorry and moved me to room across the hippie bar playing live music from 10pm to 2am. Again no sleep during that time. At least aircon worked (think 1970’s making a racket as well). Refused to talk to that mgr again. He had done the same with another couple who had complained. His way of revenge by the looks of it

Great place to stay, just far enough away from the night streets to be quite but close enough to walk. Had read some reviews about staff not speaking good English, this was true but they were all very friendly and tried very hard to understand and help. Loved it and will definitely stay there again.

most disgusting ever

Cons: Everything, but most important is management and cleanliness
Location: Better, cheaper hotels nearby to stay at.
Having stayed in all manner of hotels over 35 years of international travel never have I experienced such a disgusting hotel management or filthy hotel. The room I booked online was significantly different from the filthy room I had to endure on my first night. A dingy unclean room, dirty bed full of fleas, poor air conditioning among other disappointments. I then had the horrible experience of discussing the situation with staff who could not care less and no management available to address the issue. The next day I was forced to pay an upgrade fee to move to a room that matched what I had booked. Absolute rip off. I made reasonable requests for respectable service levels that were constantly ignored and I had to endure staff who could not understand ENGLISH - in an international hotel !!!!! I was regularly given dirty bedding (once with blood stains on the bedding) and met with refusal to change the bedding until I went down to housekeeping and did it myself. After having to endure the hotel running inappropriate, promotions that were so loud outside my room that I request a refund so i could move to another hotel only to have it refused which made it an unforgivable experience I wish no one else to endure. On inquiry with other guests, i soon learnt that I was not alone in this horrible experience.

Great staff makes a great hotel

Amata is in a great location. Walking distance to everything. The rooms are clean and a good size. The facilities were good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great holiday.
