Breakfast was great each day. Rooms and rest of facility well kept and enjoyable. Only thing we didn't love was that the showers in the room (from another report as well not just ours) had pretty low pressure for cold water, making it like a hot blasting shower or cold drip hard to find the middle. In the end with everything else we felt it was insignificant as all else was good.

Our room was located on the very bottom floor in a dark alley like corridor that gave us a view overlooking the very busy dirty NOISY street. On our holiday we stayed in 4 different hotels and chanalai was one of the more expensive ones and by far our least favourite. The staff weren’t as friendly as the other hotels and we used the hotel for an airport transfer service in which the taxi driver took us on detours trying to get us to buy jewellery etc. The room itself was older than any other hotels with broken mirrors and just very dark inside. The restaurant food was very average and still expensive. It was the last hotel we stayed at so just left a bad taste in our mouths. We definitely won’t be staying again.
