Good hotel convenient to airport

Pros: Room and bed were spacious, comfortable, clean and tidy - very satisfied.
Cons: See comments above re check-in process and in-room aircon.
Location: Convenient to airport - cheap and quick taxi ride
Stayed in hotel purely to get some sleep on an 11hr stopover and would recommend for anyone doing the same. Frustratingly though the check-in process was terrible: 2 staff behind counter and 2 guests ahead of me but it took over 20mins to check in (last thing you want after a flight). There seemed to be issues with both guests booking in ahead of me, however only one of the staff members was helping - the other one wouldn't help but then when another guest walked up she commenced the check-in process with him! Overall check-in process was inexcusably slow. Other than that the staff (eg doormen) tried to be very helpful etc - hailing me a taxi in the morning, bringing juice while I waited to check in. Per other complaints that I've read from other reviewers though, the aircon was ridiculous - the 'low' setting was very loud and very strong (about what I'd expect a 'high' setting to be). Luckily it wasn't hot so I was able to just turn it off - would've been very difficult to sleep with it on.

Cons: Charged 118.00 AUD for a cab ride from the hotel to the airport (Hotel organised) , Didnt realise I was ripped off until inside airport
