Accommodation In Changzhou

The city of Changzhou is located on the banks of the Yangtze River in the heart of the Jiangsu province. It's a great location to see historical landmarks, beautiful parks, and enjoy a fun holiday to China. Check out our range of Changzhou hotels, and book one for your next vacation!

Originally home to cotton mills in the 1930s, today Changzhou has transformed into a bustling tourist hub. Stop in at Dinosaur Park and enjoy the theme park rides and check out a huge range of fossils. The museum here has many original pieces on display, and exhibits the most complete hadrosaur in the world. At one of the street vendors try a Sesame Bing, which is a local delicacy of layered flatbread made from delicious flaky pastry.

For a more peaceful afternoon come and relax at Hong Mei Park. The green banks of the lake are a perfect place to chill with a book, or stroll through the elevated walkways that cross many ponds and streams and check out the fish. Another great set of gardens can be found at the Dong Po Park, which was named in honour of Su Dong Po, a famous local artist. Explore the remains of an Imperial Palace in the park, and grab a photo with a statue of the artist himself.

No trip to Changzhou is complete without a visit to the Tianning Temple, a declaration to Chinese Chan Buddhism. Featuring a massive wooden pagoda, the Tianning Temple is 13 storeys high and is the tallest pagoda in the world - as well as the highest wooden structure in the world. The rooftops are decorated with gold, brass, jade and bronze. All of these combine to make it a must see attraction in Changzhou. Stop in at the Song Dynasty Pillars and explore the remains of an ancient temple that dates back to AD979.

A visit to Changzhou is fantastic way to spend your next vacation, where you can see the history and heritage of some of China's best temples, and enjoy a holiday in a fantastic tourist spot. Grab a great deal on a flight to China, and don't forget your Changzhou accommodation! A wonderful holiday is waiting for you.
