Accommodation In Casino

Looking for a relaxing escape from the daily grind, in a sub-tropical climate that isn't too hot or too cold? Our Casino hotels will set you on your way to your perfect holiday.

Contrary to what you might think, Casino isn't brimming with pokies machines or roulette tables. In fact, the town is called Casino due to a spelling error when the town was being registered, in the mid 19th century. It was supposed to be Cassino, after the Italian town of Monte Cassino. Casino is best known as an agricultural town and is famous for its beef and timber. The Casino Beef Week, held each May, showcases country life at its finest. The PRIMEX expo, held in June, and the Agricultural Show, held in October, feature rural industry technology exhibits, which attract farmers from all over Australia.

Casino is also a popular destination because of its rainforest national parks and beautiful hinterland views. The Richmond River is a must-visit for any traveller. There are plenty of picnic spots along the river, as well as the Platypus Pool, where you might be able to spot one of these timid little guys, if you're lucky. Casino is home to numerous sporting facilities, such as golf courses, cricket pitches, football fields, tennis courts, hockey fields, basketball courts, gymnasiums, horse racing tracks, and a 50 metre swimming pool. The town also hosts the annual Crankfest BMX riding event. Shopaholics will enjoy wandering the small boutique stores, in Art Deco buildings, as well as the large chain stores in town.

Casino is only 66km from the Ballina airport. The airport shuttle travels to some areas in Casino, but you'll need a car to get around town, so it might be best to hire one at the airport. Check out our great deals on flights to Ballina. Alternatively, you could get a cheap flight to Brisbane and catch the train from the airport to Casino. One of the nearby towns, well-worth checking out, is Lismore. Lismore is only 31km away and is famous for its nature reserves and macadamia and coffee plantations.

So for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle, book your flights and your Casino accommodation today.
