"Nice hotel, great amenities and service"
The staff went out of their way to make us welcome. The hotel is well-appointed with a good gym and pool facility, and a dining area serving complimentary breakfast, light meals and snacks most of the day. We used The Quincy as a stopover hotel to break up a long flight and wished we could have stayed longer.

"A hotel with characters "
An old hotel with characters, big rooms and centrally located. Staff service is patchy, some are very attentive while a few were a bit green. Due to its age, one can find spots where renovations/repairs are needed. Our family stayed for 6 nights and we liked it because of the small hotel atmosphere.

    Pocket Guide: Bukit Timah

Our extensive range of Orchard Road hotels, make the perfect starting point for your Singapore shopping adventures. There is absolutely no doubt, that Orchard Road is the epicentre of shopping, in a country world renowned for its shopping. In the beginning Orchard Road was just that, full of plantations of all sorts like pepper and nutmeg. It was only when Singapore began to attract various international settlers, residing in their colonial homesteads, that it began to represent itself with affluence and luxury. True to its roots, the Orchard Road precinct has one of the highest concentrations, of western expatriate residences on the island. Today the wealthy Europeans homes have all been replaced with a plethora of glitzy malls and glamorous high-rise hotels.

The hotels in Orchard Road are all easily accessible via public transport, with three major MRT stations situated within the vicinity, which makes getting around very easy. Even though Orchard Road is a one way street, it has extensive underground infrastructure, including pedestrian walkways between the malls, and other areas within the district. Without a doubt it eclipses all other retail areas in Singapore, in terms of sheer volume, quality, and choice. Most malls carry the concept of "everything available under the one roof", with virtually everything that is desired from around the world, found in these shopping centres. You can find everything from electronics, jewellery, antiques, silks, foods, and of course fashion and cosmetics.

Without a doubt the Orchard Road precinct is heavily weighted towards the retail sector, but this should not take away from the areas numerous other attractions. The cities old mosques and temples, encapsulate the exotic beauty of the entire region. There is also Orchard Road accommodation available in abundance, along with swanky eateries, and a beautiful tree-lined boulevard, that is wall-to-wall with massive department stores and chi-chi boutiques. It is the hordes of stop-over tourists and expatriates, that mingle with the hip locals, which helps make this road a happening place. In short, this is Singapore at its most international.
