Delightful B and B in gorgeous Bergamo

Pros: Located on a hill in the centre of the old walled town of Bergamo the Up Town b'n'b overlooks the old shoe market and the hills in the distance. It is small, cosy and very friendly. The bedrooms are very clean, light and sunny and the beds comfortable. The breakfasts are really wonderful. The host and cook, Jesus, is very helpful and full of excellent information about the beautiful but less well known places to visit in Bergamo. He is also a mine of information about nearby walks. I loved staying there and recommend it to those who like to stay somewhere a little out of the usual.
Cons: Initially it was a little hard to find and the entrance a bit dark, but once you find it it is marvellously close to wonderful restaurants, bars, and coffee shops with great desserts. Some may not like sharing a bathroom with one other guest.
Location: Very close to the old city wall, the central piazza and the funicula to downtown.

Right in the centre of the old town

Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable room - sharing bathroom with one other room which was fine. Enjoyable and fresh breakfast - host eager to please and cook breakfast to your liking using homegrown herbs and lots of love and passion.
