| Iluka, which is Aboriginal for ‘by the sea’, is a charming coastal village at the mouth of the Clarence River, and has long been famous for fishing, with anglers from all parts of the continent converging to enjoy a region that offers some of Australia’s finest rock, beach, estuary and deep sea fishing.
For those not interested in fishing, Iluka offers long stretches of unspoiled beaches and perhaps Australia’s most easily accessible and rarest remains of rainforest.
